Seasonal transition and the right duvet

Seasonal transition and the right duvet

In the Northern Hemisphere, April signals the end of winter. Nights become milder, days grow longer, and the atmosphere slowly begins to shift toward spring. Winter gradually recedes, and cities adapt their rhythm to the new season. However, bedding does not always evolve at the same pace.

It often remains anchored in the previous season longer than necessary. This is where the most common mistake appears: continuing to use duvets designed for the depths of winter even when environmental conditions have already changed.

The role of the right duvet

A duvet is not exclusive to winter; its function depends on its weight (GSM). A lightweight filling of 120 g, designed for transitional seasons, offers the right balance in spring. It preserves the enveloping sense of comfort while reducing the level of insulation associated with heavier fillings.

This type of duvet promotes breathability and supports the seasonal transition without the need to completely remove the comforter. Rather than abruptly switching from a thick filling to a light sheet, a gradual adjustment better reflects the thermal reality of the season.

As the climate evolves progressively, rest should follow. Adjusting the weight of your bedding is not an aesthetic choice, but a functional decision aligned with the time of year.
